Gazi University is one of the biggest universities in Turkey in terms of its effectiveness, physical capacity and the number of personnel and students. Today, the university continues its activities with its 20 faculties, 19 colleges and 5 institutes. Apart from these the university has 18 research centers, which are also academic institutions. About 60000 students are being educated in these institutions. The number of students per instructor is 16 and this is close to the world average.
