    • Explain the construct of survival statistics and use in dentistry

I decided some time ago to provide crowns made from zirconia instead of metal ceramics to my patients. My colleagues now tell me that this is unwise, because in their experience, crowns made from zirconia break more often than what they are used to.

What clinical evidence would I need for persuading my colleagues and potentially disgruntled patients (if their crown break) that the risks are not different?
